What Cairnpost Offers

Three ways to bring order to family records

Each engagement is clerical — no item is valued, no interpretation is given, and no professional advice of any kind is provided. The result is a paper and digital record the family controls.

Where Things Live Session

Where Things Live Session

A ninety-minute session that produces one written sheet recording where a family's important papers physically sit — which drawer, which office, which digital folder, and who holds a key. A location record, not an inventory of value.

  • Printed location sheet & blank spare
  • Short glossary of common document names
  • Directory of registered professionals
RM 445 Enquire
Archive Sorting Appointments

Archive Sorting Appointments

Two half-day appointments in which a coordinator sorts the family's papers by type and date, builds a printed index, labels the physical file, and produces a scanned mirror on family-controlled storage. Purely clerical.

  • Printed index and labelled dividers
  • Scanned digital mirror (family-controlled)
  • Written gap list and maintenance sheet
RM 1,220 Enquire
Chronology and Handover Programme

Chronology and Handover Programme

A three-month programme producing a dated chronology drawn from the family's own documents, a register of holdings, and a neutral summary sheet written for handover to a qualified professional. No valuation, no advice.

  • Monthly review meetings included
  • Bound pack and digital mirror
  • Practitioner directory (Selangor & KL)
RM 3,860 Enquire

Why Cairnpost

What makes the difference when papers are at stake

Written records, not verbal summaries

Every session ends with a paper output the family keeps and controls. Nothing stays in our files alone.

No advice, no interpretation

Cairnpost coordinates and records only. Questions requiring professional guidance are referred to the registered practitioners we list.

Coordinator works at your pace

Sessions are scheduled around the family, not the other way around. No pressure, no rushed appointments.

Digital mirrors on your own storage

Scanned copies are placed on family-controlled drives. Cairnpost does not retain document copies after a session closes.

Rooted in Shah Alam, serving Selangor

We operate locally and know how estates and family documents are typically held across the Klang Valley.

Plain language throughout

Outputs use ordinary language, not legal or financial jargon, so any family member can read and act on what is recorded.

Ready to start

Does your family know where the documents are?

A single session with Cairnpost produces a written location record that answers that question plainly. It takes ninety minutes and stays with the family permanently.

Questions

Things families often ask

What does Cairnpost actually do?

Cairnpost produces written records of where family documents physically sit, sorts those documents by type and date, and assembles dated chronologies for handover. All work is clerical. We do not give legal, financial or estate advice, and we do not act on anyone's behalf in any formal or regulated capacity.

Is this legal or estate planning advice?

No. Cairnpost is not a law firm, an estate agent or a financial advisory. We record, sort and organise. When a matter requires a solicitor, a faraid practitioner, a licensed estate distributor or a financial planner, we refer the family to the relevant directory and step back from that question.

Where do sessions take place?

The Where Things Live Session can be conducted at our Shah Alam office or at the family home if papers cannot be easily moved. Archive Sorting Appointments typically take place at the location where papers are held. The Chronology and Handover Programme review meetings are held at our office or by video call as preferred.

How long does each engagement take?

The location session is ninety minutes. Archive Sorting covers two half-day appointments, usually scheduled one week apart. The Chronology and Handover Programme runs across three months with monthly review meetings and additional coordinator time between meetings.

Do you keep copies of our documents?

No. Where scanning is part of the engagement, scanned files are placed on storage the family controls. Cairnpost does not retain copies after a session is closed. Working notes used to compile the printed output are destroyed on completion.

What are your fees and payment terms?

Where Things Live Session is RM 445. Archive Sorting Appointments are RM 1,220. The Chronology and Handover Programme is RM 3,860 across three months. Payment is in Malaysian Ringgit by online transfer or cheque. A written agreement confirming scope is issued before any work begins.

My family is dealing with a recent loss. Is this the right time?

Families often reach out at any point — before planning anything formal, after a bereavement, or while supporting an elderly parent. There is no wrong time to know where documents are. We work at whatever pace the family finds manageable, and we can begin with a short consultation call before any commitment is made.
